"Nothing?" conner replied, shuddering under the owl's gaze.

Tim crossed his arms. "Really? Why aren't you coming in?"

Conner glanced at the owl again before taking a hesitant step in. He glanced at the creepy owl with every step between the door and the bed.

Tim let out a sigh. "It's the owls, isn't it. Everyone I let in here hates the owls." He squeezed the blue one that was back in his lap.

"I don't hate them" Conner mumbled defensively. "The, uh, the big eyes are just kind of... Creepy" Conner admitted. "The smaller ones are fine. Mostly its that one..."

Tim looked up and hummed. "Alfred got that one for me. He saw it while he was on holiday in China. He said that it reminded him of me so he got it."
